Concert in memory of Ignazio Vigoni / July 3rd 2010
SUMMER CONCERT
The "Aquilon"-Quintett from Paris presented a sophisticated program on the occasion of the traditional concert in memory of Ignazio Vigoni: Sabine Raynaud (flute), Guillaume Bidar (bassoon), Marianne Tilquin (horn), Claire Sirjacobs (oboe) and Stéphanie Corre (clarinet) played works by Rossini, Milhaud, Piazzolla, Medaglia, Briccialdi and Ibert.
The "Aquilon"-Quintett has been founded at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris and won in 2006 the first price at the ARD International Music Competition in Munich. In 2008 the Quintett has been selected for the concert series "Rising Stars" and has already given recitals in the most famous European concert halls.

This year's programme:
- The Italian Minister of the Interior Roberto Maroni will intervene on the issue: "The Mafia beyond Southern Italy: Underestimated and Minimized?"
- Public prosecutors and experts from Italy and Germany will debate on the issue of the international expansion of organized crime
- Walter Veltroni, politician, writer and journalist, and Thomas Schmid, editor of Die Welt, will discuss on "Constituents and Readers: Loss of Trust in Politics and the Media"
- Dieter Rampl, president of UniCredit Group, will take part in the Kamingespräch (discussion around Villa Vigoni's fireplace)
Furthermore, there will be the chance to extensively debate on the topic of the quality of news reporting in Italy and Germany
